Holt Adoptee Summer Camp!
Register Now for Summer 2026 Holt Camp in Oregon!
After 42 incredible summers of connection, growth and fun, Holt Adoptee Camp continues to be one of our most treasured traditions. Every year, we are honored to serve domestic and international adoptee youth and build adoptee community through our camp program.
As we look ahead, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our New Jersey and Wisconsin camp locations due to declining registration and rising expenses. We know many adoptees and families hold wonderful memories from these locations, and we deeply honor that history.
We heartily welcome adoptees across the country to attend our Oregon Camp next summer, and we plan to hold spots for non-Oregon campers. We’re also excited to announce that our Oregon Camp will now expand to six full days — Monday, July 20 through Saturday, July 25, 2026 — giving campers even more time together.
We’re looking forward to an unforgettable camp experience filled with friendship and laughter — as well as the opportunity for adoptees to connect, share and explore issues that are unique and relevant to adoptees. Extending camp allows us to build on more than four decades of tradition while also investing more deeply in other post-adoption services for adoptees and families year-round.
Registration is now open — and our early bird deal is live. Secure your spot today at what will be the biggest and best Holt Camp yet.
Eligible Participants
Holt’s adoptee summer camp program is available to all domestic, international, same-race, transracial or transcultural adoptees — placed through any agency — who are between the ages of 9 and 17.

As a counselor at in-person camp, you’ll have many responsibilities. We’ve broken them down into two categories.
Campers
- You’re responsible for the safety of the campers 24 hours a day, from the time they check in until they check out. You’ll assist in leading them in scheduled activities throughout the day. You’ll lead your cabin group in discussions on race, identity and adoption. You’ll set the standard for your campers in the areas of positive attitude, integrity, punctuality and interaction with peers.
- Camp counselors will receive 40 hours of pre-camp training and will be supported in person by the camp director and the camp leadership team during the camp season.
Camp Activities
- Counselors will be assigned to teach and lead certain camp activities.
