Holt Vision Trips are open to anyone who has a heart for orphaned and vulnerable children and wants to be a part of our mission to ensure a stable, loving home for every child.
Heritage Tours for Adoptees and Families

China Heritage Tour
On Holt’s annual heritage tour of China, adoptees and their families experience the culture, customs and history of China. See everyday life in China, from big cities to rural villages, participate in cultural activities and visit famous Chinese tourist sites. Whenever possible, adoptees also have a chance to visit their former orphanage, foster family and/or sites significant to their adoption story. The tour is open to all Chinese adoptees and adoptive families, regardless of their placing agency.

Korea Heritage Tour
From Seoul to Gyeongju, Busan and Jeju Island, Holt Korea Heritage Tour participants experience Korea together as they visit national and historic sites, learn about Korea’s rich cultural heritage and visit Holt-supported programs. This tour is open to all Korean adoptees and adoptive families, regardless of their placing agency. For Holt International adoptees, we can assist with U.S. file reviews and help coordinate birth city tours. For all adoptees, we recommend requesting your Korean file from the NCRC as soon as possible.

Mongolia Heritage Tour
On Holt’s heritage tour, adoptees and families will learn about the rich history and cultural heritage of Mongolia. When possible, adoptees can visit their orphanages and locations where they were found, and meet individuals who may have cared for them before they joined their adoptive families. Together, tour participants will also travel outside of Ulaanbaatar, ride camels and horses, visit historic sites and spend a night sleeping in traditional Mongolian homes. This tour is open to all Mongolian adoptees and families, regardless of placing agency.

Vietnam Heritage Tour
Traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Vietnam Heritage Tour participants will experience the diversity and beauty of this ancient and remarkable land. They will visit historic cities, savor Vietnamese cuisine and learn about Holt’s work in Vietnam. Whenever possible, adoptees may visit their former orphanage, foster family and/or sites significant to their adoption story. The tour is open to all Vietnamese adoptees and adoptive families, regardless of their placing agency.

Vision Trips

Cambodia Vision Trip
Over the past 20 years, Holt sponsors and donors have made a tremendous impact in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Cambodia, supplying both the tools and resources families need to rise above poverty and helping to revolutionize the country’s child welfare system. This spring, we invite you to travel with us on a very special trip to Cambodia, where you’ll not only see the impact of your gifts through our family strenthening and education programs, but also learn how you can create meaningful change in the lives of many more children and families in need. By joining our tour, you’ll also have the chance to experience the culture, taste the cuisine and visit some of the many historic and ancient sites in Cambodia, including the Angkor Wat temples.
Korea Gift Team Vision Trip
Every year, Holt’s Korea Gift Team travels to Korea to help create a magical, joyous Christmas for a special group of children and adult residents with disabilities at the Ilsan Center! On this life-changing trip, you will explore Holt’s history and see Holt’s vision in action by touring the Ilsan center, visiting the unwed mothers’ shelter and meeting with participants from Holt Korea’s independent living programs. We hope you will join us to see how your support shapes the lives of children and families in Korea and around the world!
Mongolia Vision Trip
For over 25 years, Holt supporters have transformed the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Mongolia. Each year, your life-changing support provides vital services such as education for children living near Mongolia’s largest garbage dump, help for women and children escaping domestic violence, and therapeutic care for children with special needs. Together, travelers on our Mongolia Vision Trip witness firsthand the powerful difference they make in the lives of children and families in this vast and beautiful country. Thailand Vision Trip
Each year in Thailand, Holt supporters reach nearly 10,000 children and families in need, providing vital nutrition, health and education services, therapeutic care for children with disabilities, nurturing foster care and more. When you travel with us on our upcoming Thailand Vision Trip, you will witness the lasting difference your compassion makes in the lives of children and families — and discover new ways to create meaningful change.
